If you want more information please click and follow on Facebook. Feet feel freezing cold? Do you get chilblains in this icy weather? Chilblains are hot and itchy then sore little blisters on your toes. You get chilblains from putting your cold feet directly on or near a hot-water bottle or radiator or heater. The area of skin heats very quickly but blood circulation is very slow and cannot remove waste material from feet which then causes a chilblain to form. Avoid chilblains by wearing double socks, dry shoes and when using a hot-water bottle place it on your lap (properly insulated) causing the circulation of the whole leg area to warm. Smokers and suffers of Raynauds Syndrome will have poor circulation to their feet and hands and should always wear warm socks and gloves.
